How many hours after getting paid does it take you to spend your entire pay check? 

Depends. I like to save and only buy what we really need.

What blogging post are you most proud of? Why? 

Kids and Caffeine Don’t Mix because it was featured on Blogher’s home page for 2 days and I really enjoyed writing it and spreading important information.

If you could be any celebrity, who would you be? 

Meryl Streep—she is just so talented, cool, and timeless.

Happy, balanced, kids

What book(s) are you currently reading? 

Power of Now, by Eckhart Tolle

What makes your blog unique? 

I base everything on a science foundation, but make it relatable to parents.

If we were at Starbucks right now what drink would you order?

Decaf chamomile tea with nothing in it.

What else would you like us to know about you or your blog?

It’s a tough world out there and our children need our guidance. Through my own battle with stress and anxiety, I have found ways to get back to a balanced state of mind, body, and spirit. This is a life-long project and there is always something new to learn.

There are many experts specializing in one area of happiness or stress reduction, but I am here to bring it all together in a simple, convenient way for parents. Each month I highlight one of the areas in our toolkit, such as mindfulness, giving, optimism, loving kindness, or gratitude.  Through knowledge and a constructive exchange of ideas, we can lead the next generation in making the world a better place.
